A.A. PREAMBLE Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any public controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
What Is AA?
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who come together to solve their drinking problem. It doesn’t cost anything to attend A.A. meetings. There are no age or education requirements to participate. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem. A.A.’s primary purpose is to help alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

Volunteers Needed
Volunteers Needed
Men Volunteers are needed to support the New Beginnings Group AA meeting every Friday at the Carteret Co. Corrections Facility in Newport. Volunteer training is required.
Men & Women Volunteers are needed to carry AA meetings to the Carteret County Detention Center in Beaufort. Women meet on Tuesdays; men meet on Thursdays.
